Workshop-cum-training program on “Clandestine Laboratories – Chemical Diversions – Drug Trends/Methods of concealment” was organized at NCB Hqrs. in association with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) with an aim to make participants aware on Clandestine Lab identification, toxicology, techniques, Hazards etc.
An Australian delegation led by Ms. Jan Dorrington, National Director Intelligence & Targeting Division, within Customs and Border Protection Service, Australia, visited NCB Hqrs and deliberated avenues of cooperation in the field of Counter measures against illicit trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursor Chemicals and with special reference to internet pharmacies.

An Afghanistan delegation led by Dr. Parvez Najeb, Chief of Staff Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, consisting of 11 members, visited NCB Hqrs. and deliberated on the issues of mutual concerns related to drug trafficking and to strengthen the institutional mechanism for exchange of views/information, best practices and identifying priority areas for furtherance of cooperation.
Shri Jitendra Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State (Home) visited NCB Hqrs.
A Sri Lankan Delegation led by Mr. N.K. Illangakoon, Inspector General Police, consisting of 03 DIGs of Police, Sri Lanka, visited NCB Hqrs. and deliberated on avenues of cooperation in the field of counter measures against illicit trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursor.
An interaction session with Former Directors General of Narcotics Control Bureau was organized at NCB HQ to discuss the emerging trends of drug trafficking, challenges, future vision and Road map for NCB. Sh. M.M. Bhatnagar, IC&CS, Sh. Joginder Singh, IPS, Sh. M.K. Singh, IPS, Sh. Rakesh, IAS, Sh. K.C. Verma, IPS and Sh. M.L. Kumawat, IPS, attended the interaction session.
NCB organized 3rd Director General Level talks between Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), India and Department of Narcotics Control (DNC), Bangladesh 2012 at New Delhi. The talks focused on issues pertaining to:-
- Review progress of the decisions taken at the last DG level talks held at Dhaka, Bangladesh on 23-24 Mar, 2011.
- Sharing of information on the latest routes & spots of drug trafficking across the borders as also sharing of operational intelligence on real time basis.
- Formulation of a plan for joint visits
- Exchange of information on new trends and Modus Operandi of drug trafficking and on mutual assistance & co-operation in investigation of drug offences.
- Sharing of information on drug traffickers operating across the border
- Trafficking of new items of drugs
- Cooperation in capacity building, sharing of best practices in supply and demand reduction.

NCB organized 9th DG level talks between Narcotics Control Bureau, India and Anti Narcotics Force, Pakistan on drug trafficking and related matters which was held at New Delhi on 5th December, 2012. The Indian delegation was led by Sh. Ajay Chadha, Director General, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) while the Pakistani delegation was headed by Major General Malik Zafar Iqbal, Director General, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF). During their visit to India the Pakistan Delegates visited NCB Headquarters on 7th December 2012 and had interactive session with Sh. Rajiv Mehta, who has taken over as DG, NCB w.e.f. 6th December 2012.
