Narcotics control Bureau

Ministry of Home Affairs
Goverment Of India

The Narcotics Control Bureau was set up as apex drug law enforcement agency with view to coordinate actions of various central/state agencies in the matters related with drug law in the country. India is signatory to various international drug related UN conventions and the responsibility of implementation of the provision of these international conventions also lies with NCB.

It is huge challenge to work in NCB as we are not only expected to do the best but all our actions, both success and failures are under close microscopic scrutiny. We need to work hard to upgrade our skills and investigate abilities and capabilities to ensure quick disposal of cases, while adhering rule of law. The close monitoring further adds to bring culprit to justice.

We shall work together as a strong and effective team, with renewed vigour to effectively eliminating drugs from our society by maintaining high professional standards by acting fairly, firmly and impartially.

Let us pledge to make India drug free society by putting all efforts maintaining highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
